Caterpie is iconic because it appeared early in the series, in Pokémon Emergency!, where Ash encountered it in Viridian Forest. He caught it in Ash Catches a Pokémon , making Caterpie the first Pokémon Ash caught in the wild.
It's bright green, which makes it stand out, and its pink antennae give it real character. It also comes with a stand, so it can stand upright outside the box. Personally, I remember it as the pest that constantly attacked me every time I went into the bushes in Pokémon Crystal, but that doesn't change the fact that this is just a really cute Pokémon.
Because it's a bit smaller, it looks much bigger in the box. It also looks great outside the box when combined with other Funko POP Pokémon.
